SynchroMed® Infusion System

IDD with the SynchroMed infusion system is a logical and cost-effective treatment option for patients with predominantly nociceptive axial low back pain, for whom more conservative therapies lack effectiveness, oral analgesics cause intolerable side effects, and for patients that have failed a neurostimulation trial

SynchroMed is a fully
implantable, programmable
drug delivery system consisting
of an implantable programmable
pump, an intrathecal catheter
and an external patient programmer

The catheter is implanted intrathecally and connected to
the implanted pump which releases prescribed amounts of morphine into the intrathecal space

The programmable pump
allows the clinician to programme flexible dosage regimens to meet the patient's changing needs throughout
the day
