  • Cardiac Rhythm Disease Management manages cardiac rhythm disorders to improve long-term patient care. Theses therapies allow physicians to monitor and treat cardiac conditions. Developments include pace-makers to treat bradycardia (too-slow heartbeat); implantable defibrillators to help treat tachyarrhythmia (too-fast heartbeat); implantable cardiac resynchron-ization devices to improve blood-pumping ability for heart failure patients; treatment options for atrial fibrillation (outside of the U.S.); and diagnostic and monitoring tools that help diagnose heart-related syncope (unexplained fainting) and atrial fibrillation.
